Concrete lifting or replacement? Start with the slab.

An uneven driveway or sidewalk does not automatically need a new pour. When usable concrete has settled, polyurethane lifting can raise and support the slab while keeping the existing surface in place. The right choice starts with the condition of the concrete and what is happening underneath it.
When lifting makes sense
A panel that sits lower than its neighbors, a driveway transition below the garage, or an uneven walkway can be a good candidate. We check whether the concrete is sound enough to lift, where it needs to finish, and what support it needs below the surface.
The repair uses small injection holes. Polyurethane expands beneath the slab, fills suitable voids, and raises the concrete in a controlled lift. We monitor the elevation and patch the injection points when the work is complete.
Explore the situations we assess on our driveway leveling, sidewalk leveling, and patio leveling pages.
When replacement may be the better option
Severely shattered or deteriorated concrete may not provide a usable slab to lift. If you want a completely different layout or a new surface, replacement may also fit the project better.
Lifting changes elevation and support. It does not turn damaged concrete into a new slab, and existing cracks can remain visible. We explain what the repair can achieve before recommending it.
Look beyond the low spot
Water moving beneath a slab, a downspout discharging near an edge, or soil washout can affect support. Raising the surface is one part of the assessment; ongoing drainage or other causes may need their own correction.
Garage-floor settlement also needs a clear distinction between the floor slab and the building's structural foundation. Our garage floor leveling page explains the scope we assess.
Compare the whole project
Replacement involves removing concrete and installing a new slab. Lifting targets the usable concrete already in place. Compare the full scope, access, disruption, and expected finish rather than choosing on one headline price.
A good estimate should tell you which sections need work, what the repair is intended to accomplish, and whether anything else needs attention. Before-and-after photos help show what an elevation repair looks like; see our project gallery for before-and-after examples.
